Tom Bevan, President | LeTourneau University Foundation
LETU Foundation Luncheon, Thursday, 12pm
Tom Bevan is the President of the LeTourneau University Foundation. Tom brings over 20 years of experience in financial planning, trusts, annuities, and estate and legacy planning, and is an affiliate member of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Through his ministry, Legacy for Eternity™, now offered through this Foundation, Tom has taught on Biblical Stewardship and Legacy Planning across the United States, and even to London, England. Tom and his supporting team know which plans and financial instruments can help ensure that the things the Lord has entrusted to us are first directed to very real needs, and then safeguarded for generations to come. The real bottom line is that encouraging others with our faith story (what God has meant in our lives and His faithfulness to us) needs to be passed on to those who will come up behind us – and by incorporating a wide array of tax efficient charitable giving into our estate and legacy plans, we can help "pave the way" to obedience and faith from those who would follow us. You’ll enjoy Tom and the Foundation’s straightforward approach to this all- important topic for each and every one of us. Tom and his wife, Laura, have three grown children, the youngest of whom (David) is a LETU alum (2010 EE), who with his wife, Elizabeth, reside here in Longview with their five children (Tom and Laura’s five grandchildren, all in one place!).

Dr. Steven D. Mason, President | LeTourneau University
Breakfast with the President, Friday, 8:30am
Dr. Steven D. Mason joined the School of Theology and Vocation at LeTourneau University in 2006 after spending four years in St. Andrews, Scotland, pursuing a Ph.D. in Old Testament Studies. Dr. Mason's excellence in both teaching and scholarship coupled with his ability to connect with students make him a favorite in and out of the classroom. He has taught twelve different Bible classes at LeTourneau such as Biblical Hebrew, the Pentateuch, Biblical Covenants, Old Testament Prophets, and Advanced Hermeneutics, and he consistently teaches in the university's Honors College. Dr. Mason has an impressive record of publications and presentations in the field of biblical studies, represented in particular by his book entitled Eternal Covenant in the Pentateuch: The Contours of an Elusive Phrase, published by T&T Clark in 2008. He is currently working on two other books under contract with Wipf & Stock Publishers and Baker Academic, respectively.Dr. Mason has served well on a number of university committees and special assignments. His leadership among his peers was officially recognized when he was voted president-elect of the Teaching Faculty Organization before moving into administration in the roles of associate vice president for academic affairs, then associate provost and dean of faculty. He was appointed provost in fall 2016, and in March 2021 was named the seventh president of LeTourneau University.
